Grameen Swapna is working Persons with Disability to campaign for equal rights and to ensure social justice. Grameen Swapna views disability as a human right or social issue related to attitude and access to equal opportunities and resists definitions which relate to the impairment of an individual, i.e. the social model of disability as opposed to the medical model. Grameen Swapna believes that all people have the same fundamental rights to determine their won futures and control decisions that affect their lives and all people have the same rights to enough food and clean water, education, home and relationships, live hood, mobility, safety, influence, recreation, health care and security. Grameen Swapna organizes disabled people in the both rural and urban level, support disabled people organization and encourage mainstream NGOs to work with disabled people. Grameen Swapna is playing a significant role in Bangladesh to strengthen disability movement and to implement the Disability law to establish the socio-economic and political rights of the persons with disabilities.
