Our structure


Our Legal Status:

Grameen Swapna-GS is registered with the Directorate of Social Services (DSS) of the Government. Vide Registration Sher.00178, dated 29 September, 1999.

GS has been received with the Directorate of the NGO Affairs Bureau under the Ministry of the Prime Minister of Bangladesh.

Management Structure:
Duly approval organizational constitution as per relevant registration act, Grameen Swapna constitution, which is approved by the respective registration authority. Firstly the General Body of the organization amends the Constitution. So, the constitution of the organization is prepared following all norms and regulations democratically. All activities of the organization is running following the provision of the constitution.

Grameen Swapna is operated as per approved constitutions of the Organization. It owns three types of organizational structure:

General Committee:
The general body of Grameen Swapna is consisted with all the members. The total numbers of members of the General Body are 21. At least one General Meeting is held annually. General Body approves the activities of the Executive Committee.

GS Executive Committee:
In terms of organization structure, GS has two layers of Executive Body: General Committee, which has been formed with membership of 21 male and female members. The General Committee elected the Seven Members Executive Committee. The names and positions of Executive Committee members are as follows:

The Chief Executive/Executive Director plays the role of General Secretary of the Executive Committee as per the right of designation. But the Executive Director has no right for casting vote in taking any decision in the meeting of the Executive Committee. The duration of the Executive Committee is 5 years. The NGO Affairs Bureau approves the Executive Committee.

Monitoring & Evaluation (M & E)
To improve the quality of program delivery as well as effective implementation of various projects, Program Development, Monitoring, Evaluation and Research (PDMER) Unit conducts different types of survey, assessment, monitoring and evaluation and provides valuable feedback to the Grameen Swpana management for ensuring better impact of the project and strengthen its project development and implementation strategies. Different types of internal reporting as well as donor reporting are important assignments of this department. PDMER Unit produces baseline, evaluation, monthly, quarterly, annual, interim reports on regular basis. It also provides capacity building on M&E to Grameen Swapna and partners Staff.

Accountability of Grameen Swapna:
Grameen Swapna is accountable to donors, beneficiaries, partners, registration authority and the Government of Bangladesh and other stakeholders. Grameen Swapna uses a participatory approach by involving communities, local authorities, NGO partners and relevant departments in all stages of the project cycle including initial assessment, planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation using varying methodology. GS is committed to improvement and continues to seek feedback throughout the project lifecycle. GS shares information to all relevant stakeholders about program activities, budget, and target beneficiaries. GS is a transparent organization that offers a range of documents related to our governance, our finances and our relationship with partner organizations.

Code of Conduct
The Code of Conduct outlines the key principles of ethical conduct expected of our staff, partners, and contractors as they work together to serve our beneficiary communities. These principles include the importance of integrity and professionalism, as well as the responsible stewardship of funds and guidelines to ensure the safety of all those involved in our work.

Conflict of Interest
Toward creating greater accountability within our relationships, the Conflict of Interest Policy requires staff, board, and contractors to communicate those situations wherein a conflict of interest may occur where they encounter friends, family, or acquaintances along the course of a transaction to preserve the objectivity of all involved parties.

Reporting Misconduct
Grameen Swapna’s Policy on Reporting and Investigating Misconduct provides clear definitions of misconduct and procedures for reporting misconduct. GS staff are required to report any suspicions or acts of fraud, waste or abuse to GS’s Internal Audit Office, which conducts in-depth inquiries into all reports and takes the appropriate corrective actions.
